Designed by renowned modernist architect, Peter McIntyre in 1956, the owners of the Grant House approached Robert Harwood from My Architect to extend and refurbish this striking, heritage-listed home, making it more suited to contemporary living, whilst respecting its original features and working within Heritage Victoria's strict guidelines.
We designed an entirely new module, sympathetic to the original design in scale, format and materials and yet separate, connecting to the existing building via a glazed corridor. Linking past to present with careful consideration and a respectful design response.
